Mikey Moore has earned a call-up to represent England at this summer’s UEFA Under-19 European Championship Finals in Romania.
The 17-year-old forward has been included in Will Antwi’s 21-man squad after playing a key role in helping England top their elite qualifying group back in March, securing a spot in the tournament’s final eight.
England have been drawn in Group B and will kick off their campaign against Norway on Saturday 14 June at the Ilie Oana Stadium in Ploiesti (3pm UK time). Their second match sees them travel to Bucharest to take on Germany at the Arcul de Triumf Stadium on Tuesday 17 June, before facing the Netherlands in their final group game on Friday 20 June at the Giulesti Stadium (both games kick off at 6pm UK time).
The top two teams from each group will go through to the semi-finals, scheduled for Monday 23 June, with the final set for Thursday 26 June.
England last featured in the tournament in 2022, when a squad that included Spurs Academy graduates Dane Scarlett and Alfie Devine went on to win the title with a 3-1 extra-time victory over Israel in the final.
Mikey, who has already made nine appearances for England at Under-19 level, will be aiming to help the Young Lions repeat that success. It’s been a standout season for him personally, with 19 senior appearances for Spurs across the Europa League and Premier League, including his first senior goal for the club against Elfsborg on 30 January.
