Tottenham Hotspur are set to mark the end of their 17-year trophy drought with a celebratory open-top bus parade through north London, following their hard-fought 1-0 win over Manchester United in the Europa League final.
Brennan Johnson’s scrappy first-half goal proved decisive in a tightly contested final in Bilbao, where chances were few and far between. Despite dominating possession after the break, United failed to find a way back into the match, allowing Spurs to clinch their first piece of silverware since 2008.
While both sides have struggled domestically this season—currently languishing in 16th and 17th place with just one league match remaining—Tottenham’s Europa League victory has secured their place in next season’s Champions League, offering a rare bright spot in an otherwise disappointing campaign.
Manager Ange Postecoglou and his squad partied deep into the night in Spain, but the celebrations are far from over. The club has now confirmed plans for a trophy parade in London, set for Friday, 23 May.
Parade Details
The victory parade will kick off at 5:30pm on Friday and is expected to run for around 60 to 90 minutes. The open-top bus will start its journey at Edmonton Green and make its way to the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, following this route:
The Broadway/Fore Street (Southbound)
High Road (Southbound), passing the stadium
Lansdowne Road (Eastbound)
Willoughby Lane (Northbound)
Northumberland Park (Westbound)
At the end of the route, a special stage will be set up on Paxton Terrace above the High Road, where fans will be able to see the players and coaching staff present the trophy once more in front of the home crowd.
With thousands expected to line the streets, Friday promises to be a memorable evening for Spurs supporters eager to bask in the glow of the club’s first European triumph since 1984.
